This book is listed under Christian books; however it is an unofficial publication of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormon). While most of the statements in the book reflect Christian beliefs on baptism, there are multiple references to Mormon scripture and beliefs.
Our daughter loves this book. The text is divided between the little brother's questions about baptism and his sister's answers in the form of fun, simple metaphors that make the abstract symbolism of baptism easier for children to grasp. Each principle is then divided in the back of the book, complete with song and scripture references that can easily carry into family home evening and primary lessons.I think it says something that the only negative reviews were from those who were not looking for an LDS perspective. If an LDS book is what you are looking for, then it's pretty much perfect. I usually like to buy my books secondhand, but as LDS books are harder to find I am willing to pay new for ones as outstanding as this. Definitely would reccomend the other books by this author as well.
Wasn't really what I was looking for in regards to explaining about God and what baptism was about for a 5 year old.

Great, great resource- every Latter Day Saint family needs this! Although written and printed for the LDS church, it works fine for our RLDS family. We are going to use each page and the extra reference materials in the back for a study for homeschool.
Great book, truly teaches in a way even toddlers understand.
We love this addition to our home library . Its the kids favorite to pull at story time. Each time the oldest (4 yrs) says "i want to be baptized" when we get to the last page. Its a great compliment to the Holy Ghost is a Like a Blanket
I felt this book was misleading. It’s advertised as a CHRISTIAN book but it is inaccurate doctrine according to the Christian Faith. It’s a Mormon book filled with Mormon ideals and teaching. I was so disappointed!
