Lots of patterns here. Since most patterns are variations (e.g. hundreds of variations on an Adams, which is a Catskill dry pattern), expect to see every possible variation of many patterns. If this is what you're looking for, the book is for you. Individual patterns do not have tying instructions, but there are instructions scattered through the book for techniques (e.g. winging, etc.). Good book for the price.
I was a bit let down by this book. There a ton of recipes for a ton of flies, but most of them are for the same style of fly, just in different colors. There are also little to no pictures of what the finished product should look like. The few that there are, are so small that little...if anything can be learned. Unless you have many years experience tying, my belief is that you won't very much here.

Good basic list of patterns. I would have liked more information on particular fly patterns, however. Not for beginning tyers.
