Blue Cruise will break your heart and then melt it again... shortly into the book Caleb and the Deniz family was devastated...their grief is palpable, reading about each of them grieving somehow pulls you further in...Elle's love for her friend Caleb and desire for his happiness pulls him from his grief and allows him to move forward. Adem's entrance into the storyline is believable and breathtaking, though M/M might turn some reads off at first don't let it; the passion, compassion and love these two men feel is compelling and engrossing. This story leaves you wanting to know more about the Deniz family and wishing for their happiness.
Awesomely written shirt story of love loss and love again! Love the characters- well thought out and so much fun to fall in love with!
Liz brings back some wonderful characters from book 1 and a few new ones. Liz Crowe is the only person I know that can rip your heart out and hand it back to you in the most touching way. For a short read it throws one heck of a powerful punch straight to your heart. We meet one of the main characters about half way through the book by this time you have already set there with your mouth hung open saying NO NO NO please NO… I was devastated I felt Caleb pain as if it was my own. At this point I had to put the book down and take a minute, just a tragedy. Caleb will have his work cut out for him to keep on an even keel….Caleb and Tarkan were one of my favorite characters in book 1. They had so much love for each other, gave so much to those around them. Life has a way of changing and taking us down different paths as it did with these two. I do have to say I did love Adem he is so different from Tarkan but in wonderful ways. This is a short story which the author puts so much into in a short time. You are never lost and she leaves nothing out. This isn’t your normal romance which makes Liz one of the best authors out there. Liz might break your heart but somewhere along the way she brings it back with a punch that you will love. I can’t wait to see what Liz has in store for me with the rest of this series.
Caleb and Tarkan are introduced to us in Turkish Delights and during the short amount of time we have with them, we are shown the beauty of their love. They have found true happiness, acceptance & love with each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. The characters were so well written - their love radiated off of the page and you knew they were meant to be together. They were made for each other. Then tragedy strikes...Tarkan, who was in the Military, is presumed dead after a bomb blast. Caleb is completely & utterly devastated. Liz Crowe is the master at writing emotions and making the reader feel the characters every emotion. I experienced all his grief, anger, blame, despair and finally, resolve right along with him. For two years Caleb was a shell of man, completely broken by the loss of Tarkan. Finally, Elle, his boss, friend & Tarkan's sister-in-law, intervenes. She encourages him to go back to Turkey to help gain closure. However, she knows what he needs is someone to love again and sets up a date for him through the 1 Night Stand dating service. There he meets Adem and finally begins to heal and yes, love again.Blue Cruise, by far, is my favorite story of the series. It was so heart-wrenching to read Caleb's struggle with Tarkan's death. I have to admit I wasn't sure that I wanted to see him with anyone else. Once Liz introduced Adem's character and, I began to see the transformation in Caleb, I was convinced. When you lose someone that you love with all your heart, that love never goes away even though you feel as if your heart is broken. That love keeps your heart safe so that you'll have the ability to love again. Caleb deserves to love again.
My Review:It's not often when you read a book that you aren't even introduced to one of the main characters until the halfway point. And at that point in this book, I had already cried...so yeah, this isn't your normal book. But it's a good book for those very same reasons.This book is part of the One Night Stand series and it's a great example of why I love these books. It's short....can easily be read within an hour, but it was so filled with emotion and feeling. I'm truly amazed at how much the author was able to fit within such a short amount of book space. And to make it even more impressive, she told TWO love stories within these pages. Seriously....it was so good. What Caleb goes through broke my heart, but I love the way that it all turned out.A short read, so a short review. But this book was HUGE on quality, characterization, and emotion. It packs a TON of punch in this very small format.
Oh Caleb, poor Caleb. I fell in love with Caleb reading Turkish Delights and my heart broke for him when he lost Tarkan, Emre's twin brother. Two years Elle is able to convince him (ok bullies him ;) ) into giving a 1NS date a try. Liz manages to weave his history with Tarkan into this tale of the healing power of love and it was a beautiful, yet extremely emotional ride. Fans of her "Romance for Real Life" style are going to love this story set on a Turkish Blue Cruise. This is a M/M novel, but it really is for everyone who understands the powers of love. It continues the story that began in Turkish Delights, but can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
What can I say without giving anything away.This is Caleb's story, Elle's assistant. Caleb was in love with Emre's twin brother, Tarkan. But tragedy strikes their relationship and Caleb sinks into despair.Elle organizes for Caleb to have some vacation time and to go on a Turkish Blue Cruise, run by Madam Eve's 1NightStand service.Here he meets Adem.A great continuation of the series and looking forward to seeing what happens to Elle, since we were left of with Caleb racing to the hospital after arriving home from vacation.
